Justin here, I am the craftsman behind every design and build here at The Map Mill.
I started woodworking before the age of 10. Building horrible birdhouses and coffee tables with my father. I've always carried the passion of building with me since then and have developed many different concepts and ideas over the years.
I strayed from the hands on, sawdust in the air beauty of woodworking in my college years learning many aspects of design. Diving deeper into the world of modern technology I found CAD and 3D design.
The only thing getting in the way of my growth as a craftsman was my desire to be in a boat fishing. I've been a competitive fisherman for over 15 years and find great peace and joy in being in and around the water.
I take great pride in being given the opportunity to make a map for somebody. I know how much care and love people can have for their special lake or cottage. I get the same feeling when making a lake map and thinking about how happy that lake makes my customer feel.
The Map Mill was born when I realized I could combine my love of woodworking and technology with my greatest distraction — fishing and being on the water.
